Doximity, the professional medical network, today announced the release of its 2020-2021 Residency Navigator, the most comprehensive online directory of U.S. residency programs used by over 90% of fourth-year medical students.

The 2020-2021 Residency Navigator includes insights on 4,700 residency programs across 28 specialties. More than 100,000 verified U.S. doctors have contributed nominations, ratings and hand-written reviews to provide medical students with the important information they need to navigate the often challenging and competitive physician residency matching process.

“With residency interviews now being conducted virtually given the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s become more difficult for medical students to evaluate a program and find the right fit. Residency Navigator equips students with invaluable program data and first-hand perspectives from current and former residents so they can find the program that best aligns with their professional goals,” said Peter Alperin, MD, Vice President of Product at Doximity.

Residency Navigator on the Doximity app makes it easy for students to get on-the-go access to all the core features, including:

Personalized search: Discover programs tailored to individual career goals with a powerful search engine that filters programs by specialty, geography, hospital type, board pass rates, intended fellowship, urban vs. rural environments, and more.

Real reviews: Read satisfaction reviews from verified current residents and recent alumni who have shared anonymized ratings and hand-written reviews on their experience, sharing important aspects like career guidance, program culture, and clinical diversity.

Detailed program statistics: Learn more about a program’s subspecialization rates, gender balance, top feeder medical schools, and alumni destinations.

My Rank List: Shortlist favorite programs and add personal notes from virtual visits, interviews, and conversations with residents and alumni.
