The Philippines is now expected to grow the fastest in 2023 among developing economies in East Asia and Pacific according to an updated World Bank growth outlook for the region. These reports come hot on the heels of the Philippines being recognised as the fastest growing ecommerce market globally in 2023 having grown 25% year on year. The Philippines already has the youngest population in SEA. At the same time, household incomes are expected to rise, with 51 million new high and upper-middle class households to emerge by 2030.
